Fall 2012 International Quilt Festival
Each October, thousands of quilters from the United States and other countries around the world flock to International Quilt Festival at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
Founded in 1974, this annual event is spread out over several days and has grown to become the largest, and one of the longest running, quilt shows around. Besides hundreds of vendors, the festival offers lectures, classes, and workshops, as well as a juried quilt show, where thousands of dollars in prize money are awarded. On these pages, we show some of the winners in a number of different categories. For a gallery of all the winning entries and information about next year’s show, which will take place from October 31 to November 3, visit www.quilts.com.
